" I remember when Arnold Nowinski got home from early morning ROTC
training when Russ DeSalvo was in the shower getting ready for the day.
As a joke, Arnold decided to take the fog machine from the Homecoming
float and start it running in Russ's room while he showered. Several
minutes later, down at the other end of the second floor hall, Pat Cox
awoke to the sound of the fire alarm. When he opened his room door and
saw smoke billowing throughout the hallway his instincts immediately
kicked in, and he started crawling through the hallway feeling
doorknobs to find the source of the smoke and knocking on doors to wake
everyone up. Of course, he figured the whole thing out eventually, and
it has become a favorite story of mine." - Tom Dagenais, '99

rented a house on Fifth Street for a year before moving to Gregory
Street. That winter was so cold and the heating in that house was so

exams.” - Robert D. Malinowski, ’64
